Ezekiel 14 13 Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:
14 Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.
15 If I cause noisome beasts to pass through the land, and they spoil it, so that it be desolate, that no man pass through because of the beasts:
16 Though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters; they only shall be delivered, but the land shall be desolate.
17 Or if I bring a sword upon that land and say, Sword, go through the land; so that I cut off man and beast from it:
18 Though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only shall be delivered themselves.
19 Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast:
20 Though Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall but deliver their own souls by their righteousness.
This passage is long, but is very worthy of serious meditation as all the Word of God is. The verses were first brought to my attention through a teaching on Sunday and were emphasized by God in my heart to share.
When a land is full of iniquities, God will pour His anger and He is just to do so. Every corner of the Earth today is full of iniquities, fueled with greed, love of money, lust, sexual immorality, idolatry and murders. And our thoughts are continuously evil in the eyes of the Lord. God is ready to stretch out hands to destroy the whole world, but He still loves the world to delay a little time. Not too long.
When His wrath comes forth, contrary to whatever false teachers tell us, not everyone who says Lord Lord will be saved (Matthew 7 21-23) This passage paints a horrible reality. Even the sons and daughters of Noah, Daniel, and Job were not delivered. By their own souls, they, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were delivered. When it is all said and done, we can only prepare for own souls, not our friends, parents, and children.
Noah preached to the world and only his family was saved from the flood. After the flood, it was not clear who was saved in his family for eternity. Noah was saved. That’s all we know. Those children heard God’s word and attended teachings. Those children witnessed the horrible flood and the power of God. Let’s be reminded.
Daniel who cried to God and offered repentance prayer for Israel was saved, but for the rest we do not know.
Job was worried for his children and offered sacrifice, but they were destroyed despite of his effort. Later, God gave him other children, but we are not sure whether they were saved or not. We must face this reality. At this stage of the world, perhaps there is only one soul or a few that are saved. Not many, my people. Not many. Not many.
Please be not prideful. Please be cautious of everything you say and do. Please we are not saved yet. Please don’t listen to false preachers to give you illusion of fake grace. Be prepared, holy and pure constantly until last breath.
