Proverbs 6 9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? When wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.
Procrastination brings poverty. It results in incompletion of projects and poor performance on the jobs. It will block promotion and sometimes lead to job termination.
Procrastination ensures bad grade. It produces students with shallow and scattered knowledge. It produces young generation that is not well equipped in their crafts. Procrastination destroys relationship. Another call is cancelled. Another meeting is missed. Another promise is broken.
Procrastination makes life messy and miserable. To-do list is ever expanding and not fulfilled. Spiritually, procrastination kills.
Weak evangelism, due to procrastination, prepares more people for hell.
Unorganized church services and teachings make believers lose interest and eventually return to their sins because their strength is not renewed.
Procrastination in prayer and fasting life ensures lukewarmness and backsliding. It allows the devil to steal anointing and blessing. It hinders Christian’s walk with Jesus and impacts everyone around that believer in a bad way.
Procrastination in repentance brings death. Eternal death.
