Ezekiel 32:
18 Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, even her, and the daughters of the famous nations, unto the nether parts of the earth, with them that go down into the pit.
19 Whom dost thou pass in beauty? go down, and be thou laid with the uncircumcised.
Ezekiel 32:
21 The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out the midst of hell with them that help him: they are gone down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword.
Ezekiel 32:
23 Whose graves are set in the sides of the pit, and her company is round about her grave: all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which caused terror in the land of the living.
24 There is Elam and all her multitude round about her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which are gone down uncircumcised into the nether parts of the earth, which caused their terror in the land of the living; yet have they borne their shame with them that go down to the pit.
Definition of “nether”: '"the lower part of a thing or place” (www.collinsdictionary.com)
People show so much curiosity and adoration for rulers, leaders, and kings. Their stories of grandeur, often with extravagant lifestyles, fascinate the mind of the public. There are kings whose names people trembled when they heard them. There are kings that murdered so many people. There are emperors that controlled over many nations. Yet, they would soon realize that what they had was vain and was taken from them in a split second.
They might be proud of their accomplishment, wealth, power, and victory on earth, but when death met them, they were caught in the nether part/lower part of the earth, which means hell.
God is mightier than them. They thought they could control other people and do wicked things without being questioned. When they finally reached their eternal damnation, they regretted having their positions on earth.
Our power and position on earth are vain if we do not live a life that pleases God. The pleasure of the earth can be tempting, but we need to decide who we follow. Nobody can escape the final judgment before God. Make a wise decision today and Repent.
